Voodoo Performance Engineering
Founder & Gunsmith | 2002–2006
What it was: A federally licensed firearms manufacturing business specializing in AK-pattern and H&K rifles, Colt double-action revolvers, 1911s, and pre-1898 antique weapons.
What I built: I established a high-trust client base within law enforcement and military communities, offering bespoke gunsmithing and Class III manufacturing under FFL 07, 10, and 11 licenses. My work focused on building and restoring high-performance firearms to exacting standards — including clone-correct AK and H&K system builds — while also dealing in legacy Colt revolvers and historically significant handguns.
Tactical Training Component: Through that work, I was invited to assist in tactical training scenarios for specialized units. This stemmed from long-standing professional relationships and the recognition, by a veteran instructor, of my ability to consistently outperform teams in live-fire simulations. I went on to support scenario-based training environments, working discreetly and in full compliance with all confidentiality agreements.
Outcome: After four years of steady growth and contract fulfillment, I successfully exited the business. SOT earned a strong reputation for craftsmanship, reliability, and discretion in a high-compliance, high-trust space.
