Voodoo Performance
What it was: A niche automotive parts business specializing in hard-to-find muscle car and later classic BMW components, launched before e-commerce was mainstream.
What I built: I began by sourcing rare parts during my racing travels and shipping them from my parents’ house. As demand grew, I opened a warehouse, built a standalone e-commerce site, and expanded into both new and used inventory — starting with American muscle (1950s–70s) and eventually specializing in 1965–1989 BMW parts. Initially selling through AuctionWeb (later eBay), I transitioned to direct online retail well ahead of the curve.
Outcome: Successfully exited after six years of profitable operation and earned recognition within enthusiast and collector circles.
