Chapter 4 documents the six-month stretch when Rackley Roofing had repeated opportunities to resolve the roof failure—and instead confirmed a pattern of avoidance, incomplete repairs, and undocumented findings. After offering a full “redo” on May 10 and performing it on May 28, Rackley replaced every fastener and resealed every pipe penetration. On paper, this should have reset the entire system. Yet every leak, stain, and attic photo from June forward occurred after this redo, making the failures post-repair, not pre-existing.

The turning point came on June 6—just nine days later—when Rackley’s own technician photographs captured darkened wood, moisture streaks, and early-stage rot inside the attic. These findings directly contradicted the later public narrative that no deterioration existed. Despite this evidence, the June 6 visit resulted only in a superficial sealant application.
